Secure Steel Units

The Ideal Secure Steel units are fully finished buildings that are factory built & delivered to site providing a completed building ready for immediate occupation.

Each are designed & manufactured to a high standard and can be linked or double stacked to suit individual site or clients requirements.

Structure designed with reference to the following standards:

i) BS449 Part 2 Structural Use of Steelwork in Building
ii) BS5268 Part 2 Structural Use of Timber
iii) CP3 Chap V Part 2 Wind Loads
iv) BS6399 Part 1 1984 Design Loads for Buildings

Manufactured under strict factory conditions & welded in accordance with BS 5135 : 1984 Process of arc welding of carbon & carbon manganese steels.

The external walls are manufactured from 1.6mm 2 corry profiled mild steel with a paint finish, to the client's specification, which achieves a class '0' spread of flame. The internal lining will be Cotton vinyl faced plasterboard, jointed by means of 2 part PVC 'H' section trims, fixed to softwood framing, giving a class '0' spread of flames rating to BS1230. 60mm insulation quilt will be fitted within the wall cavity.

A floor deck of 18mm exterior grade plywood decking screwed to 75 x 40 x 3mm cold formed steel joists (BS EN 10025 : S275). Underside of plywood to be treated with bituminous paint.

Roof constructed of mild steel panels with a perimeter 'J' section gutter of 3mm mild steel with paint finish. Softwood ceiling joists underdrawn with White Dolomite vinyl faced plasterboard, jointed by means of PVC 'H' section trims, and with class 0 spread of flames. 60mm insulation quilt laid between joists, roof space to be ventilated.

Windows to be 914 x 914mm double sliding aluminium framed with mill finish, Single glazed 4mm clear float & fitted externally with side hung steel shutter internally operated with locking mechanism & hold open catches.

High level windows to be 560 x 300mm fully opening aluminium framed, Single glazed 4mm obscure, fitted externally with box type weldmesh guards.

Double skin steel entrance door 838x1981mm hung in steel frame on continuous steel hinges & fitted with 5 Lever security mortice lock & SAA lever handles.

Heating generally by 2kW convection heaters or oil filled radiators where requested with individual thermostatic controls & fused spur outlets.

Lighting by 1200mm single fluorescent light fittings manually switched adjacent to entrance door.

Spur & earth bond provided at either end of unit for installation of sink unit & water heater at later date.
